Focusing on the positive...

So if you read my post about my version of New Year's resolutions, you would know that I am unconventional. I told my husband that after doing my gratitude journal for 2012, I think I need to use a journal that focuses on the positive of everyday- similar to the gratitude journal, but hopefully better.

There are always challenges we face in life, but we have the opportunity to look at challenges differently and perhaps look at them as chances to find something positive, or maybe positive reinforcement was used to manage said challenges.

I am seriously vowing to myself for 2013 to look at each day, in depth and find 3 things that I feel were positive about the day. These could be that the girls cooperated while running errands, it could be that the dog didn't empty his water bowl on the floor, it could be that I didn't have to raise my voice once that day because there was peace within my home.

I am hoping by focusing on the positive for 2013 that it would bring me to a state of inner peace- which is my ultimate New Years Resolution. I want to be healthy, stay focused and be in the moment- enjoying my kids and my husband. These would all bring me to a state of inner peace, and that my friends would make for a lovely 2013!!

  1. love this idea! there is something beautiful in every day...even if some days it's harder to see than others. it's still there!

  2. If you focus on all the positive the negative will disappear. We give the negativity in our lives power to control and once you take it back it can't get it! :)
