How is it possible to be 11 days from someone turning 4???

Ok so I am in some serious need of how/what to do with a 4 year old- by some miracle from God I managed the two's and three's, but honestly- FOUR??? I am in shock and awe that this is even happening- I refuse to believe that my preemie child is about to be 4 years old!

I thank goodness that so far (to the best of my knowledge) I haven't scarred her for life in any way, shape or form. I absolutely love this kid to death and would do anything for her. She gave my life a whole new meaning that night I delivered her. Though the 14 nurses and doctors may have scared me a bit because I didn't see reason (even as a previous labor & delivery nurse) for that many people to be there, but it was a security blanket for me.

These four years have blown by me and I am just amazed every single day at what she learns next. Yes there are some days when either I am not feeling well, or the weather is horrible that we all cuddle inside and watch Disney Junior for the better part of the day, but to hear from her teacher that she is doing well and will be well prepared for Kindergarten makes me so proud.

I think I need time to slow down a little bit- like I wrote in my post yesterday, I need to cherish even those small moments that make up my marathon versus sprinting through them.

Onto a more important question (just kidding) I have absolutely not a snowball's chance in hell of how to throw a birthday party for her because she is too old for some things and too young for others and I refuse to spend $500 on a 4 year old's birthday party- sorry!!

Any ideas are welcomed...thank you in advance! XOXOX
