A little update...

Hello sweet friends!! I know it has been a bit since I have written and if it hadn't been for this migraine that has completely knocked me on my ass (and I am up at 3:30 am because I had to sleep to get some of the pain away this afternoon), I would have been more productive because I even had my adorable Valentine's day ensemble to show you all- there is always next Friday thank goodness!!

So while many of you are probably asleep except for maybe my cousin in Alaska...I went back and re-read one of my absolute favorite blogs From Mrs to Mama written by the very talented Becky. and I decided that I am going to continually link up with and hopefully gain some new internet friendships through the reading I do of the other women who have linked up.

The last post I linked up led me to other women who have suffered through similar things I have and who are currently going through similar things I am. I agree with Becky that sometimes you just need to "let it out" and sometimes that comes through the form of blogging. There have been some posts that I have been put down for, some I even deleted because certain people found them offensive, which did come as a shock to me. But for the most part, I do "blog for me" which I know many bloggers use that term, but for those who follow me, they know that I blog when I get the opportunity to. With two toddlers and a very hardworking husband, that sometimes puts blogging on the back burner because I prioritize them, and like my sleep...like a whole lot, so waking up early to blog was something I tried for a little while and decided I couldn't do it anymore. Kudos to all the mamas that do!! I do remember when I first resumed/really started blogging, I would blog at 2am with my youngest nursing and me sitting in my glider at our desktop in the guest room because I thought my creative side could come out, turns out my sleepy-side came out and there were more posts that made no sense whatsoever than anything with any meaning-haha.
Even though some of my posts may not have any meaning, and some, like this one, may be due to insomnia, I do enjoy blogging and I really hope to have a more continuous flow to it and find more of a routine with blogging. I think I am afraid that so many of you will find me weird or boring and will probably not want to follow anymore. Yes I have done giveaways in hopes that people won't skip over my post in their feeder, but that isn't too frequent that's for sure.

I admire Becky and many other "big time bloggers" so much for their dedication and their abilities to maintain such a large following-their numbers just keep growing and growing!! And I of course keep telling myself "Maybe one day Lins...just keep blogging!" I actually have a few things (secrets for now) that I think I am going to integrate into the blog to show you a few different sides of Lindsey. And now that I am getting a whole lot better at watermarking photos, the little toddlers will most likely be making a reappearance! PS- Any bloggers out there that use Lightroom for editing photos, I am having trouble exporting my photos and getting a watermark to stay...maybe you can give a girl some advice if you have a moment? Lots of thanks in advance!!!

I am going to start wearing my heart on my sleeve a little more (I feel like there is SO much I hide behind this computer), even though I may seem like an open book to so many of you. So that is in the works. What else is in the works is.......a MAKEOVER! Not on myself (which really should be done), but on the blog!! The amazing Jenn over at Munchkin Land Designs has taken over my blog and will be leaving her talent here for everyone to see within the next few weeks. I have loved working with many designers on my blog designs because I get to see a different perspective that each one can bring to the table. I just stumbled across a header on Jenn's page though that totally spoke to me and with me being a pain in Jenn's ass to get things tweaked....OMG I am in love!!

I am truly hoping that I can get more friends here to link up for Fashionista Friday! I know I have slacked when I haven't felt well and I do apologize for that, but I will state that it isn't about posting a photo about yourself in front of the mirror hoping to get your best shot (even though I love when you do), it is about finding an ensemble that you love and linking it up with me! That means you can "pin it" or create it on polyvore, and then just link it on up so we can see what your fashion sense is! I love seeing how other women pair what is in their closet or what they would like to wear and then link the outfit up. (Ahem- that is why my ass is on pinterest constantly! I'm sorry about that if you follow me- I know I think I am in that "overpin" category!)

So I am letting it out for now as to what I have going on. Now that it is 4 am and I have taken the over the counter meds I can have that won't mess up my tummy, mama is getting sleepy finally!

So happy trails and I will definitely be linking up with Becky as often as I can and please feel free to link up here on Fridays!

Love y'all to the moon & back!
